Do you have a mess of store loyalty cards and coupons all over your purse? Here’s how to organize your store loyalty cards and coupons, so that there will be no more rifling through your purse at the checkout looking for them. Plus the supplies for this quick and easy project cost less than $5.
First, I got my supplies from Target. I got their $2 photo booklet and some sturdy post it tabs. I didn’t even need to use a third of the tabs, so I have several left for another project:
Next, I gathered up all my coupons and store loyalty cards. I should note that I’m not a major couponer these days, but I do save some of the checkout coupons, or a 20% off at Ulta or Carters and things like that. Occasionally I print a couple coupons online for something I know I will buy. What a mess:
I sorted everything into piles based on what store I would use them. Therefore, a CVS loyalty card and coupon I would use there were grouped together. Then I made a list of all the stores and put them in alphabetical order. I typed the list into Excel so it would quickly alphabetize the list.
Next, I took the tabs and took a thin marker to write two stores on each tab. I put two stores to a tab because I think there’s only 19 slots on the photo book, and I had a few more stores than that. This way there’s even some extra spaces, and I don’t think two stores of cards/coupons in one slot is too many at all.
I placed all the cards and coupons into the slots and stuck it in my purse.
I did not actually stick anything inside the photo sleeves, so the cards are loose in each section. This way I don’t need to get the photo book out in order to access the cards. I can just quickly reach in and get the card I need:
I keep my driver’s license, main credit card, debit card, and cash in my wallet instead of in this organizer. I don’t see why you couldn’t keep them in the organizer and do away with the need for a wallet, although you would want to be careful. If you take the the whole organizer out of your purse, things can fall out since they aren’t secured in there. Also, I have this little case my mom made for me to keep my business cards:
